The FINANCIAL — Credit Suisse is pleased to announce that James Leigh-Pemberton is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse in the United Kingdom.
He will report to Eric Varvel, Chief Executive Officer of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. James will assume this role in addition to his current client responsibilities in the Investment Banking department.
As CEO of Credit Suisse in the United Kingdom, James Leigh-Pemberton will be responsible for the Private Banking, Investment Banking and Asset Management client business in the U.K. In this role, James will facilitate the execution of our integrated banking model, allowing us to deliver the bank's expertise for the benefit of our clients.

James Leigh-Pemberton is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse. He has led a number of businesses in Europe, including the European Investment Banking Department and European Equity Capital Markets. Most recently, he has been Chairman of UK Investment Banking. He joined Credit Suisse in 1994 from S.G. Warburg Securities, where he worked for fifteen years.
