The FINANCIAL — Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia Janos Herman congratulated Georgia on conducting transparent and democratic elections in compliance with the high standards. Â
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met Head of the European Union Delegation to Georgia Janos Herman, according to MFA of Georgia.
Talking points included the parliamentary elections held on 8 October 2016. Janos Herman congratulated Mikheil Janelidze on orderly conducting of the competitive and fair elections and noted that the European Union, which thoroughly monitored the entire election process, associated itself with the findings of the OSCE/ODIHR and international monitors, in compliance with which Georgia has held transparent, free and democratic elections. Â
Mikheil Janelidze thanked Janos Herman for the positive assessment of the elections and underlined that the Georgian authorities would do its best for conducting the second tour of majority elections in accordance with high standards. The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked the EU and international community for observing the election process.
