The FINANCIAL — Jean-Patrick Marquet is the EBRD’s new Managing Director for Infrastructure, based in London. He previously held the position of Managing Director for Turkey, where he had been based since 2015.
Mr Marquet has been combining the two roles since May 2017, when Thomas Maier, former Managing Director for Infrastructure, left the EBRD after more than 20 years with the Bank.
In his new position, Mr Marquet will lead the EBRD’s engagement in infrastructure projects in 37 economies across three continents, with a particular focus on encouraging a greater role for private investment in the sector.
He will manage a portfolio of €11 billion spread across over 450 active projects in a diverse range of sectors, including rail, roads, urban transport, water and wastewater, ports, logistics, airports, district heating and cooling, facilities management and solid waste.
Before joining the EBRD in 2001, Jean-Patrick Marquet worked at French bank Crédit Lyonnais. He is a French national and holds degrees in management and law from HEC Paris and Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
In Turkey he will be succeeded by Arvid Tuerkner.
