The FINANCIAL — Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, organized a special Christmas activity for the students of Save The Children School at BKC, Mumbai. This is in keeping with Jet Airways’ ongoing initiatives in support of children’s causes.
Today’s activity was organized in conjunction with a corporate partner, Big Home Video.
The Christmas celebrations at the school were kicked off with Jet Airways’ cabin crew clad in Santa hats and masks, presenting a large Christmas Cake to nearly 300 children from the school, many of whom are underprivileged or have special needs. Cutting the their Christmas cake brought smiles on the faces of the young wards.
To add to the fun and element of surprise, Big Home Video had Po the central character from the popular children’s film Kung Fu Panda, parading around the children. This was a very special activity consisting of a Costume Visit for Po, Meet and Greet Po and Photo-opportunity with Po sessions for kids.
This interactive programme engaged and enthralled the children, with Jet Airways cabin crew and Kung Fu Panda’s Po spreading a special Christmas and New Year cheer.
The event came to a conclusion with distribution of goodies at the Save The Children School.

Jet Airways launched its in-flight collection programme the ‘Magic Box’ in association with the NGO Save the Children India (STCI) on January 7, 1997.
