The FINANCIAL — JetBlue Airways Corporation reported its preliminary traffic results for May 2015. Traffic in May increased 8.4 percent from May 2014, on a capacity increase of 7.8 percent.
Load factor for May 2015 was 85.7 percent, an increase of 0.5 points from May 2014. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 99.2 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 84.3 percent. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for the month of May increased approximately one percent year over year. For the second quarter of 2015, PRASM is expected to increase between half and one and a half percent year over year, according to JetBlue Airways.
