The FINANCIAL — On May 15, 2009 JSCIB “UkrSibbank” timely and fully repaid the two-year syndicated loan in the amount of USD250 million.
The loan had a floating interest rate of 6m Libor+1.1% p.a. Arrangers of the syndicate were BNP Paribas, Bayerische Landesbank and HSBC Bank. Creditors were more than 20 financial institutions from different countries of the world.

The fact that in conditions of turbulence in the financial markets and economic recession in the country the JSCIB “UkrSibbank” has paid off such a large amount in a lump-sum and in time underlines its stainless reputation as a borrower in the international capital markets as well as confirms the highest stability and reliability of the bank for its depositors”, said Sergiy Naumov, Chairman of the Board of JSCIB “UkrSibbank”.
Chairman of Supervisory Council of JSCIB “UkrSibbank” Jean-Francois Varlet has also noted that timely repayment of the syndicated loan by JSCIB “UkrSibbank” shows a positive sign for investors who, in challenging economic and political conditions in Ukraine, are closely monitoring all forthcoming redemptions and payments of external liabilities by Ukrainian borrowers.
