The FINANCIAL — ASTANA. Kazakhstan has banned the export of vegetable oil and buckwheat, the country's agriculture minister said on September 27, according to RIA Novosti.
The ban is provisional, Akylbek Kurishbayev told a government meeting.
The severe drought that affected Kazakhstan's main export countries, including Russia, this summer may cause a "raw materials deficit and an increase in food prices", Economic Development Minister Zhanar Aitzhanova said.
