The FINANCIAL — The southern region of Kazakhstan continued harvesting grain crops. According to the regional agricultural departments, as of July 14 agrarians harvested grains throughout 149.6 thsd ha, or 16.7% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 304.5 thsd tonnes of grains, as opposed to 160.6 thsd tonnes on the same date last year. The average yield totaled 2.04 t/ha.
In particular, in Almaty oblast agrarians harvested grains throughout 5 thsd ha, Jambyl oblast – 71.5 thsd ha, Kyzylorda oblast – 3.2 thsd ha, and South Kazakhstan oblast — 69.9 thsd ha, according to APK-Inform.
