The FINANCIAL — As of August 3, Kazakhstan harvested 1.186 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 584.4 thsd ha (31% of the plan).
The average yield reached 2.03 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, six regions of the country already started the harvesting campaign. In particular, agrarians of Jambyl oblast harvested grains throughout 193.8 thsd ha (76.1%), South Kazakhstan oblast – 173.8 thsd ha (80.1%), Almaty oblast – 148.1 thsd ha (33%), West Kazakhstan oblast – 45.7 thsd ha (18.5%), East Kazakhstan oblast – 17.4 thsd ha (2.9%), and Kyzylorda oblast – 5.6 thsd ha (5.8%).
As a reminder, the IGC forecasted the harvest of grains in Kazakhstan in 2017/18 MY at 17.5 mln tonnes, according to APK-Inform.
