The FINANCIAL — According to oblast agricultural departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of May 29, all grain-producing regions of Kazakhstan continued planting spring crops.
Kazakh agrarians planted spring grains throughout the areas of 5.391 mln ha, or 36.8% of the plan, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. But it should be noted that on the same date in 2014, Kazakhstan planted grains throughout 10.837 mln ha, or 73.7% of the plan, according to APK Inform.
Also, Kazakhstan planted oilseeds throughout 1.52 mln ha (69.4%), as opposed to 1.967 mln ha (89.4%) on the same date last year. Agrarians of Almaty and Kyzylorda oblasts planted rice throughout 89.7 thsd ha (103.5%).
