The FINANCIAL — According to oblast agricultural departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as of June 2, all grain-producing regions of Kazakhstan continued planting spring crops.
Kazakh agrarians planted spring grains throughout the areas of 9.115 mln ha, or 62.2% of the plan, reported the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. But it should be noted that on the same date in 2014, Kazakhstan planted grains throughout 13.443 mln ha, or 91.4% of the plan, according to APK Inform.
Also, in the current year Kazakhstan planted oilseeds throughout 1.817 mln ha (83.1%), as opposed to 2.14 mln ha (97.3%) on the same date last year. Agrarians planted corn and rice throughout 124.5 thsd ha (97.3%) and 93.1 thsd ha (107.4%), respectively.
