The FINANCIAL — KLM welcomed 5.2% more passengers on board in April compared to the same month last year.
With a 4.0% increase in passenger kilometres and a 3.3% increase in seat kilometre capacity, load factor increased by 0.6%pts.
KLM CEO Pieter Elbers commented: “With good growth figures for the month of April, the KLM Group is making a strong start to the second quarter, thereby continuing KLM’s positive trend of the previous months.”
Transavia Netherlands saw a decline in growth compared to the same month last year. A decrease in passenger kilometre traffic and a decrease in capacity resulted in a slightly lower load factor. KLM Cargo’s load factor increased by 1.9%pts with slightly lower traffic and decreased capacity, according to KLM.
