The FINANCIAL — Kodak on March 1 launched KODAKIT, an easy to use service that connects consumers and businesses to photographers. Whether you are looking for a photographer to capture images of your wedding, take a portrait of your family, create great images of the house you want to sell or show off your products, KODAKIT will make the selection process simple.
Kodak’s founder, George Eastman, coined the saying: “You press the button, we do the rest.” KODAKIT delivers on the same principle. You press the KODAKIT icon on your mobile phone and have instant access to a network of photographers, wherever and whenever you need one.
Users can select the type of photography they want, review photographer portfolios, check customer ratings, book a photographer and receive their images in a private cloud all via KODAKIT.
Great photos start with great photographers. Pro, semi pro and amateur photographers are all welcome to join the KODAKIT network. Already more than 200 Singapore photographers are participating, according to Kodak.
“Today KODAKIT is a small startup within Kodak,” said Eric Mahe, President Software and Solutions. “We are launching in Singapore to tap into a pool of talented labor and a vibrant and connected market. In Singapore we can quickly get feedback from users and prepare to expand into new markets.”
Jeff Clarke, Kodak Chief Executive, said: “Kodak has a long history as a trusted brand in film and photography. The Singapore launch of KODAKIT marks Kodak’s first step toward building a global service for consumers and businesses.”
