The FINANCIAL — Kitchen appliances and accessories company Kuppersberg is continuing to develop on the Georgian market. Recently, the company opened a new branch in Georgia’s Black Sea resort town of Batumi. Kuppersberg is working to increase its production assortment in all branches in the country.
“Batumi is developing very fast and people living in that city have high solvency to buy premium quality kitchen appliances. So we are happy to be there and offer customers in Batumi our service and products,” said Vladimer Chkhikvadze, Director of Kuppersberg.
“In addition, we are planning to open a Kuppersberg brand zone in Metromart shopping centre, where we also plan to increase the assortment of our products and introduce new taps, kitchen sinks and fridges.
“Furthermore, Kuppersberg has designed a special series of granite sinks, which are exclusively sold on the Georgian market. These sinks are also available in our online shop (shop.kuppersberg.ge) where Georgian customers can become acquainted with our products and buy them,” he added.
Thanks to the utmost success Kuppersberg achieved in 2017, the company received its first Golden Brand this year. Chkhikvadze says that Golden Brand is a big stimulus for Georgian companies as it helps to increase brand awareness, have more advertising activities and attract more customers.
As for the reasons why the customers and experts of Golden Brand named Kuppersberg their favourite brand, Chkhikvadze believes that this is a result of several factors that distinguishes Kuppersberg from other companies on the market.
“These factors are its high quality European production. Kuppersberg production is produced in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Poland. Operational delivery of goods to consumers and four years of complete guarantee are other reasons why customers choose Kuppersberg. By ‘complete guarantee’ we mean that if a product is damaged by the customer our service department will still serve them for free,” Chkhikvadze said.
“The distinguished design of Kuppersberg production is another important factor. Without exaggerating, I believe that Kupersberg classic style products are some of the best in the world. We also have a classical style, stand-alone refrigerator with no analogue elsewhere in the world,” he added.
Q. Can you tell us about your company and how it developed on the Georgian market?
A. Kuppersberg has been represented on the Georgian market since 2012. Initially we started importing a small amount of products taking into account our company’s small scale. This was also due to the fact that integrated kitchen design and technology was a novelty for Georgian customers.
At the same time the competition was high as cheap Turkish and Chinese products were, and still are, impressively situated on the Georgian market. However, we still managed to become a famous and respected brand on the Georgian market.
In terms of sales we took the leading positions in our segment. The average increase in sales last year was 35 percent compared to 2016. We are not going to be satisfied with this result and are increasing our product assortment constantly.
As of today, customers can find the highest quality products at Kuppersberg such as cooktops, cooker hoods, ovens, kitchen sinks, mixer taps, microwave ovens, steam ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators and different accessories.
These are premium segment products which means the prices are higher compared to other products on the market, but the quality and guarantee service is the best at Kuppersberg.
Mostly, cooktops, cooker hoods and ovens are the highest in demand. In the recent period dishwashers have become very popular. This year sales of kitchen sinks increased by 25 percent.
Q. Where is it possible to buy Kuppersberg products and are you planning to expand on the Georgian market?
A. Currently we have three showrooms in the capital of Tbilisi and one in Batumi. Also, our products are available at all networks of Metromart shopping centre.
In the future we plan to open stores in Kutaisi, Zugdidi and Telavi.
