Kyrgyzstan almost completed the harvesting campaign of grains

The FINANCIAL — Kyrgyzstan almost completed the harvesting campaign of grain crops, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 22.

Agrarians harvested cereal grain crops throughout the areas of 472.4 thsd ha, including 297 thsd ha of wheat and 175 thsd ha of barley. The average yield of grains totaled 2.48 t/ha, up 0.69 t/ha compared with the last year index, including wheat – 2.59 t/ha (up 0.61 t/ha), barley – 2.29 t/ha (up 0.92 t/ha), according to APK-Inform.

The general grain harvest reached 1.168 mln tonnes, up 298.4 thsd tonnes compared with last year. In particular, Kyrgyzstan produced 768.1 thsd tonnes of wheat (up 103.4 thsd tonnes), and 400.5 thsd tonnes of barley (up 195 thsd tonnes).

Also, Kyrgyz agrarians harvested 99.3 thsd tonnes of pulses throughout the areas of 53.1 thsd ha (92.6%), with the average yield of 1.87 t/ha (up 0.18 t/ha).

And according to the Ministry of Agriculture, agrarians harvested oilseeds throughout 41.5 thsd ha (96.7%), and the produced volumes reached 46.9 thsd tonnes, the yield – 1.14 t/ha (up 0.07 t/ha).

Kyrgyzstan produced 525.5 thsd tonnes of corn, the harvested areas totaled 89.4 thsd ha (87.3%), with the average yield of 5.88 t/ha (up 0.2 t/ha).
