Kyrgyzstan: Ministry of Agriculture expects for a good harvest of crops in 2015

The FIANNCIAL — The Ministry of Agriculture and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic hopes to receive a good harvest of agricultural crops in 2015, declared Taalaibek Aidaraliev, Minister of Agriculture, on June 18, according to APK Inform.

Despite developing of various disasters (strong winds, snowfalls, frosts), the agricultural sector managed to overcome the blows of nature. Except of melons, the agricultural industry almost did not come to harm. The Ministry expects for the higher harvest volumes, compared with previously planned ones. To date, agrarians of Batken oblast started grain harvesting works.

As a reminder, in 2014 Kyrgyzstan harvested 838.2 thsd tonnes of grains.
