The FINANCIAL — “Georgia’s economy is freer than many other countries’, including my own country’s economy” – one of the authors of the World Economic Freedom Index, the Fraser Institute Professor Robert Lawson stated at the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“We considered Georgia’s economic processes since 2005 and the Index of Economic Freedom that we contract in the United States. As soon as Georgia has reformed more than any other country in the world, its economy is freer today than many other countries’, including my own country’s economy. Most countries in the world would be, I think, very lucky to have the economic system that Georgia has” – Lawson noted.
Robert Lawson is paying few-day visit to Georgia. Lawson held the first meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, which was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the Ministry of Justice, the National Bank, the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the Government Administration and the New Economic School, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
