The FINANCIAL — Leumi's Board of Directors approved the recommendation of Leumi President and CEO, Ms. Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, to appoint Mr. Dan Yerushalmi as Head of the Operations and Information Systems Division and as a member of management of the Bank.
Mr. Yerushalmi is to replace Mr. Itzhak Malach, who is expected to retire from the Bank at the end of the year.
Mr. Yerushalmi will commence his duties during the first quarter of 2013 -subject to the non-objection of the Bank of Israel -and until he commences his duties, the position of Division Head will be filled by Mr. Moshe Wolf.
Mr. Yerushalmi, 49, brings to the position broad and varied experience in managing customers and business management in the areas of IT and telecom. Mr. Yerushalmi has held a wide range of senior management positions in Amdocs, managing up to 4,000 employees, and was responsible for annual sales turnovers of hundreds of millions of dollars. As Leumi Group reported, in his last position, Mr. Yerushalmi served as President of EMEA (Amdocs Europe, Middle East, and Africa), and prior to that, served in the following positions, among others: General Manager, Delivery Competence Centers, Amdocs Israel. Regional VP & Client Business Executive (CBE), Amdocs North America. VP & CBE – Belgacom, Amdocs Europe. VP & CBE – Bell, Amdocs Canada.
Leumi President and CEO, Ms. Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, said today that Mr. Yerushalmi's broad experience in the fields of IT and telecom in Israel and abroad, from both the technology and business perspectives, will assist the Bank in meeting the many challenges that lay ahead in these areas, and continue its efforts in the application and development of advanced technological products for its customers.
As stated, in the position of Head of the Operations and Information Systems Division, Mr. Yerushalmi is replacing Mr. Itzhak Malach, who is concluding a career of approximately 20 years at Leumi, during 17 of which he served as a member of management and Head of the Operations and Information Systems Division. As Head of the Division, Mr. Malach led the most complex processes for technological development and procurement within the Israeli economy – in accordance with the requirements of the divisions of the Bank and its subsidiaries in Israel and abroad, and for use by thousands of Bank employees and hundreds of thousands of its customers.
