The FINANCIAL — The prestigious economics magazine Euromoney has named Bank Leumi’s private banking services as the best private banking in Israel for 2009.
The selection of Bank Leumi, to be published in the February edition of the magazine, is based on a survey conducted by the magazine with the participation of 45,000 senior private banking managers, customer relations managers and investment advisers throughout the world.
The magazine chose the best private banking services of each continent and of each country in the world. Israel’s Bank Leumi was chosen, as mentioned above, as the leading bank in Israel for private banking.
Among the criteria upon which the magazine’s decision was based was an examination of the level of the banks’ private banking services in each country, the level of profitability in this segment, total managed assets, the range of products, market share, reputation, and more.
The head of the International and Private Banking division of Bank Leumi, Mr. Zvi Itskovitch, said that Euromoney’s choice, based on the input of tens of thousands of professionals all over the world, accentuates the high level of service and uncompromising professionalism of Leumi’s private and international banking services. The International & Private Banking division of Leumi specializes in providing exclusive and personal service to high net worth customers in Israel and abroad, through its professional teams spread over seven unique Private Banking centers in Israel, and through the bank’s subsidiaries and branches in the US, UK, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Romania. The division provides unique banking services to Israeli citizens and foreign residents according to their language, individual needs, preferences and areas of interest.
The prestigious title from Euromoney is an addition to a line of titles and prizes awarded recently to Leumi, among them the title of “Bank of the Year” in Israel for 2008, awarded by the International Banking Magazine The Banker of the Financial Times Group.
