The FINANCIAL — Following the passing of the necessary legislation, Parliament has approved the appointment of London Business School’s Dean, Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, as Chair of the National Audit Office.
Speaking in the House of Commons on 7 December, British Prime Minister David Cameron said Sir Andrew, currently the NAO's acting chairman, was a "distinguished public servant" with extensive knowledge and public service.
The NAO, he added, had a "vital role" to play in holding the Government to account and ensuring it achieved the greatest possible value for money.
