The FINANCIAL — LSE continues to be ranked among the top universities in the world according to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
Following a sharp rise of 11 places last year, the School has maintained its place within the world’s top 25 at 25th, and as fifth out of 91 institutions from the UK.
These rankings look at a number of key areas across global higher education, with LSE scoring particularly highly on measures for teaching, research, citations and international outlook, according to LSE.
Commenting on the School’s performance, Professor Julia Black, Interim Director of LSE, said:
“The consistent recognition of LSE as a world-leading university is a tribute to the efforts and approach of our staff and students.
While we are deeply rooted in London, the School has a truly global reach and outlook. Regardless of league tables, we will continue to seek out the very best staff and students, no matter where they come from, and focus on challenging the world’s biggest problems through our research and teaching.”
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings was established in 2003 and is one of the world’s most widely referenced university rankings.
