The Complete University Guide also places LSE in the top ten for eleven of the twelve subjects it offers, and it is once again rated as the top place in the UK to study Social Policy, according to the London School of Economics and Political Science.
The Guide assesses universities using markers such as student satisfaction, spending on student facilities and graduate prospects.
LSE is one of only a few London universities not to fall down the rankings this year, with Imperial College London, University College London and King’s College London all amongst those to drop places.
“Our continued high ranking in The Complete University Guide is a great testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of LSE’s students and staff. LSE continues to invest significant resources to improve our facilities and the overall student experience, while our graduates continue to have outstanding job prospects and starting salaries. Of course, there is more to a university than what can be captured in a league table, but it is nice to have the hard work of our staff and students recognised,” Professor Craig Calhoun, Director of LSE, said.
