The FINANCIAL — Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has left on an official visit to Britain, the press service of the Verkhovna Rada told the Ukrainian News agency.
The visit program envisions that the Ukrainian speaker will meet with Lord Speaker of the House of Lords in the Parliament of the United Kingdom, Helene Valerie Hayman; Speaker of the British House of Commons, John Simon Bercow; and Minister of State for Europe, Christopher John Bryant.
Besides, Lytvyn will meet with members of the committee for foreign affairs headed by the chairman of the committee Michael Gates, members of the multiparty parliamentary group for relations with Ukraine headed by John Grogan.
Lytvyn will also take floor at the roundtable meeting entitled «Meaning of the presidential elections in Ukraine.»
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Britain confirms its support and readiness to assist in the NATO integration of Ukraine.
