The FINANCIAL — Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze participated in the conference organized by the Open Society Georgia Foundation.
Mikheil Janelidze brought to the attention of the attenting audience the results and perspectives of Eastern Partnership Summit 2017. According to the Minister, the Summit made it clear once again that the EU Member States support the partners and the format of Eastern Partnership in general. Practical steps were identified to achieve “20 Deliverables for 2020” that will help Georgia move ahead on its path of European integration.
Mikheil Janelidze paid special attention to the importance of civil society’s active involvement in the process of rapprochement with the EU. According to him, Georgia has a very ambitious agenda for 2017-2020, which was developed through c o-operation with civil society, according to MFA of Georgia.
The meeting was attended by representatives from Embassies, Government, international and local civil society organizations. Deputy Foreign Minister Vakhtang Makharoblishvili also participated in the meeting as a keynote speaker focusing on future steps in the relations between Georgia and the EU.
