The FINANCIAL — Christmas is a season of giving, a time when we show our love to others. Christmas is the main corporate gift giving time of the year and is an opportunity for businesses to reward hard working staff and thank their loyal customers. Companies all around the world try to give gifts even to their competitors at Christmas.
Wine and sweets dominated in corporate gifts for the New Year 2010. According to most of the Georgian companies interviewed by The FINANCIAL, they will reduce giving out corporate gifts this year, but there still exist a few leading Georgian companies who promise to increase the number and quality of their corporate gifts.
“Our company is growing year by year. We are offering our consumers different new products as well. We will definitely give out corporate gifts at Christmas and the number of corporate gifts will probably increase this year. Giving out corporate gifts is an opportunity for us to say thank you to our clients as well as to our partner companies and staff,” said Rusudan Kbilashvili, PR Manager of Wissol Petroleum Georgia.
“We don’t want to name what gifts we will put in to the gifts basket at Christmas, it will be a surprise but the number and quality of corporate gifts this year will definitely increase,” Kbilashvili said.
“Last year we gave corporate gifts at Christmas to 575 different companies, restaurants and shops. The prices of the corporate gifts that we gave last year started from 10 GEL, going up to 100 GEL. The corporate gift baskets last year included wine, New Year toys and cards,” said Tea Kikvadze, Head of the Marketing and Product Development Department at Teliani Trading.
According to Kikvadze, this year they will put greetings cards, New Year tree ornaments, wine, notebooks, and calendars in their gift baskets. The cost of the Christmas gifts will start range from 10 – 100 GEL.
“Last Christmas we gave about 100 gifts to different companies. Corporate gifts included a sweets basket, enamel medallions for women and branded wallets for men,” said Gvantsa Gusharashvili, PR Manager of Kor Standard Bank.
“Last year we ordered Christmas gifts for the companies kaspiGeo and A-point. We are planning to have sweets baskets as corporate gifts this Christmas,” Gusharashvili said.
“A Christmas corporate gift is a personal gesture that is made in the spirit of giving, showing recognition and gratitude that will be appreciated and remembered. The beauty of using engraved corporate gifts is that they can either be branded with your logo to create a unique marketing opportunity, or engraved with something that is personal to the recipient for a truly individual gift,” The Corporate Gifts Company notes.
“Christmas corporate gifts can be given for a number of reasons. Companies can benefit from giving staff Christmas corporate gifts as it is an effective way of maintaining high morale and enhancing motivation. An employee that is rewarded for their efforts will always work harder for the company that shows they are grateful for the work they have put in, and Christmas corporate gifts are an effective way of saying thank you,” The Corporate Gifts Company notes.
According to The Corporate Gifts Company, as well as staff, rewarding your best customers with Christmas corporate gifts is an effective way of maintaining a positive working relationship and can be a key way of securing future business for the year ahead. A practical, branded item that will be looked at for the year ensures that a brand is never too far away, providing a well received gift and an important marketing opportunity in one.
Companies often arrange corporate events at Christmas. Teliani Valley is going to celebrate this New Year together with its employees.
“Teliani Valley is always trying to arrange a New Year celebratory event for its employees. Last year we celebrated New Year in the club Two Side. We will definitely celebrate New Year together our employees this year too, but the destination of the corporate event is as yet unknown.”
“We celebrate every New Year with a corporate party. Traditionally we first greet the New Year with our families and then try to celebrate it with our friends. KSB will hold a corporate event dedicated to the New Year celebration at the restaurant Monopol,” Gusharashvili said.
