The FINANCIAL — Marriott International, Inc. has been recognized for the 13th time as the World’s Most Admired Lodging Company by FORTUNE.
The company placed 36 among the top 50 companies across the globe, and was also the most admired company in its headquarters region that includes the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. As Marriott International, Inc. said, Marriott ranked No. 1 in seven of nine reputation attributes identified by FORTUNE: people management; use of corporate assets; social responsibility; quality of management; financial soundness; long-term investment and quality of products/services.
“It’s wonderful to be recognized by FORTUNE magazine for our business model, world class hotel brands and strong leadership team,” said Carl Berquist, executive vice president and CFO for Marriott International. He added, “This recognition is also the result of a lot of hard work by our thousands of dedicated associates who believe in Marriott’s core values and are proud to help our guests see the world.”
