The hospitality company was honored with an award for Best Employer for Marketing and Support to Asian Pacific American Community, and recognized a Best Practice Company in both Employee Growth and Advancement and Market Opportunities. Asia Society is a leading educational organization dedicated to strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders and institutions from Asia and the United States, according to Marriott International.
The Asian Pacific American Corporate Survey, conducted annually, is used to measure the advancement of the Asian Pacific American workforce. Polled across various industries and Fortune 500 companies, the survey captures information on corporate diversity and inclusion programs, human resources department data, and opinions from APA on their employer, benefits, and career development opportunities.
Marriott has a longstanding history of diversity and inclusion. In 2014, the company celebrated 25 years of its formal diversity and inclusion program and 15 years of its Women’s Leadership Development Initiative.
