The FINANCIAL — MAXIMALI has covered Batumi with broadband wireless internet services. The details about the latest and the most comfortable internet service were announced by company representatives on the press conference arranged in Batumi, in hotel “Intourist Palace”.
According to the company management team, residents and visitors in Batumi are already able to use wireless internet in the city. Those, who will become MAXIMALI customers before March 2009, will receive special discounts on service packages – 45 GEL instead of 65 GEL for the Home Package will be and 90 GEL instead of 120 GEL for Office Package. The clients will be served in the recently opened Service Center on Gamsakhurdia Ave. #38.
“Receiving MAXIMALI wireless internet is easy. Customers will get the modems which can be simply connected to the computer and are appropriate for both, desktop and laptop computers. In the first quarter of the year 2009 MAXIMALI will provide portable USB modems, ideal for laptop computers which can be carried everywhere and the customers will be able to stay connected within the coverage area” – Said Sandro Karumidze, the commercial director of the company.
As the Executive Director Mr. Teimuraz Gogoberidze said, by the end of the current month MAXIMALI will become available in Tbilisi, Poti and Rustavi as well as in Batumi, the areas where the company has been testing its services for the long time.
MAXIMALI wireless internet is based on WiMAX technology. This is the portable broadband wireless internet based on the IEEE 802.16e standards, operating at the frequency of 2.3 GHz. WiMAX is a portable wireless broadband technology, providing fixed and nomadic wireless internet connectivity.
MAXIMALI acquired WiMAX license in Georgia on September 3rd 2007 and since January 2008 and by this time, the company has made the investment of 25 million USD. During the year 2009 the company is planning to cover more areas of country.
