The FINANCIAL — Manchester Business School MBA alumnus Matt Wells has been appointed the Head of global investment company BNY Mellon’s Manchester base. He will lead the company’s workforce of 1,100 employees across its Piccadilly Gardens and Spinningfields sites in the city centre.
Mr Wells has worked in London and New York throughout his career, and has held a number of senior roles with BNY Mellon; most notably Head of EMEA and Asia cash operations and his most recent role as Head of Global cash operations, according to Manchester Business School.
Matt, who has worked at BNY Mellon for 18 years, said his focus will be on “maintaining our strong relationships, working to enhance our position as one of Manchester’s biggest city centre employers and develop our range of business departments and client services”. He commences his new role on Monday 6 July.
