The FINANCIAL — On 29 July 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze met German Bundestag deputy, member of Alliance 90/The Greens, Member of the Defence Committee and the Committee on Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Doris Wagner.
Talking points included German-Georgian bilateral relations, current issues of Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, recent developments in the occupied territories, regional co-operation and security issues.
Gigi Gigiadze thanked the Bundestag’s deputy for the German Government’s strong support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations as well as for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, especially, in terms of existing serious challenges in the region.
Doris Wagner particularly interested in Georgia’s vision regarding the problems in the occupied territories, current situation in the region and relations with the neighbouring countries.
Gigi Gigiadze and Doris Wagner also underlined the increasing dynamics in bilateral relations between Georgia and Germany and expressed the hope that the two countries will further enhance the co-operation.
The German Bundestag deputy pays a working visit to Georgia on 27-30 July to hold meetings with representatives of the executive branch, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
