The FINANCIAL — Mercer has appointed Wayne Davidson as a Senior Consultant in its Investment business. Mr Davidson will head up a team of 20 analysts and consultants in Mercer’s London office and manage large client portfolios as the firm continues to grow its investment advisory business.
Mr Davidson joins Mercer from Deloitte, where he worked for nine years most recently leading its London investment consulting business.  In this role Wayne advised some of Deloitte’s largest pension fund clients, both trustee and sponsor, on strategic investment advice and deficit funding solutions, according to Mercer.
“We are delighted to welcome Wayne to the team,” said Steven Blackie, UK Head of Mercer Investments. “Wayne will be an excellent addition to our strong investment advisory consulting team and will support us well in finding the right solutions to match individual client needs. He joins with a clear mandate to further strengthen current client relationships as well as establish new ones.”
“I am excited to join Mercer and to help build on the success that its investment practice has achieved in recent years,” said Mr Davidson. “I look forward to working with some of the best consultants in the industry to ensure our offering provides clients with whatever they need to design and implement the right investment strategy.”
