The FINANCIAL — Merrill Lynch was named “Advisory Solutions Sponsor Firm of the Year” by the Money Management Institute (MMI) for Merrill Lynch Investment Advisory program on the Merrill Lynch One platform.
The award category recognizes the sponsor firm that made a meaningful contribution to innovation within the advisory solutions industry and exemplified overall excellence, achievement and growth, according to Bank of America.
Established in 1997, MMI is a national association and leading voice for global financial services organizations that provide advice and professionally managed solutions to individual and institutional investors. Now in their seventh year, MMI’s Industry Leadership Awards recognize innovation and achievement in the advisory solutions industry. The award winners are determined by votes among MMI member firms.
The Merrill Lynch One platform gives advisors a unified household view of clients and greater insight for deepening their relationships. Advisors enjoy greater efficiencies through intuitive workflows, providing more time for clients, and platform features for documenting their investment advice and services.
In addition, Lorna Sabbia, managing director and head of Managed Solutions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, assumed her new role as the chairperson of MMI’s board of governors. MMI’s board of governors is comprised of representatives from 32 leading financial services firms that collectively handle more than 90 percent of the approximately $4 trillion in assets under management in the advisory solutions industry.
