The FINANCIAL — Etihad Airways Engineering, the Middle East’s leading aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, successfully completed the region’s first heavy maintenance C-check on a Boeing 787 aircraft for LATAM, one of the largest airline groups in the world with a global network of more than 140 destinations.
LATAM was the launch customer for the B787 Dreamliner in the Americas and selected Etihad Airways Engineering to carry out the first scheduled C-check on its B787 aircraft, according to Etihad Airways.
Jeff Wilkinson, Senior Vice President Technical, Etihad Airways, said: “We value the trust that the LATAM Airlines Group has placed in us by selecting Etihad Airways Engineering to perform the C-check on its first B787 aircraft.

The LATAM Aviation Group has a total fleet of more than 300 aircraft with more than 230 aircraft on order.
