The FINANCIAL — A group of German experts will visit Georgia to explore the possibilities of making investments in the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia – Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze and State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Matthias Machnig spoke about this issue during their meeting where the possibilities of further deepening trade-economic relations between Georgia and Germany were discussed.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked Matthias Machnig for the Georgian Managers Professional Development Programme carried out by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
Mikheil Janelidze provided the German side with detailed information regarding the Prime Minister’s new package of reforms which is focused on four sectors and provides for the use of best international practice, including German experience in tax, governance and professional education.
Special mention was made of Georgia’s potential in tourism, infrastructure project, agriculture and energy, according to MFA of Georgia.
The German Economic Partnership Agency identified tourism as a driving force of Georgian economy. The increasing number of tourists to Georgia indicates that Georgia is becoming an attractive tourism destination in the world.
