The FINANCIAL — On 15 August 2016, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a farewell meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia Bettina Cadenbach, according to MFA of Georgia.
The sides positively appraised the friendly relations and close partnership between the two countries in the political and trade-economic areas, as well as in such sectors as development co-operation, education and culture. Mikheil Janelidze emphasised the importance of Germany’s strong support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as for the protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Special attention was paid to the need to timely and successfully complete the procedures aimed at introducing visa-free travel with the EU, as well as to the issues relating to the celebration of the anniversary of Georgian-German friendship in 2017 and to Georgia’s participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2018.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked Bettina Cadenbach for her contribution towards strengthening bilateral relations between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Germany and wished her success in her future endeavours.
