The FINANCIAL — The Georgian Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze paid a visit to Armenia where he met with his Armenian counterpart, Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan.
Janelidze thanked Nalbandyan for Armenia’s assistance in overcoming the forest fire in Georgia’s Borjomi Gorge.
The two ministers discussed the issues of bilateral and regional co-operation, especially in the areas of trade and economy, transport, energy, tourism, and culture. Special mention in this context was taken of the Georgian-Armenian Business Forum held in Yerevan, representing a good example of co-operation between the business communities of the two countries, according to MFA of Georgia.
The sides noted with satisfaction the increasing level of interaction between the Georgian and Armenian young people, in particular, their participation in the summer camps in Georgia and Armenia.
Discussions also focused on the ongoing important processes in the region and in the world as a whole.
