The FINANCIAL — The Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with the delegation of the Jamestown Foundation that arrived in Tbilisi as part of the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia tour.
Discussions focused on the priority areas of Georgia’s foreign policy, progress achieved in terms of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the security situation in Georgia and the region as a whole. Special attention was paid to the Georgian Government’s peace initiatives and the security situation in Georgia and the region as a whole. The sides discussed priorities of deepening strategic partnersip between Georgia and the U.S. special note was taken of the special role of the United States in terms of ensuring the protection of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration. The members of the delegation highly appraised Georgia’s progress in ensuring the implementation of Georgia’s foreign policy priorities.
Within the framework of the visit, the delegation visited the occupation line, according to MFA of Georgia.
