The FINANCIAL — Within the framework of his working visit to Baku the Georgian Vice Premier, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met with his Iranian counterpart, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The two ministers highly appraised the launch of the quadrilateral format of co-operation in Baku highlighting the huge potential of such format for the development of the region.
Speaking about Georgia’s economic and investment opportunities and the increasing level of trade-economic relations and people-to-people contacts, the sides also paid special attention to the huge potential of industrial co-operation with Iranian business communities.
The sides also focused on the successful inter-parliamentary co-operation between the two countries. Mikheil Janelidze welcomed the onging visit of the Iranian Parliament’s group of friendship with Georgia, according to MFA of Georgia.
Highlighting the role of the two countries in developing the international energy and transit projects, the two ministers pledged to continue co-operation in this regard.
