The FINANCIAL — Pub and restaurant chain Mitchells & Butlers is to open a second site under its Asian casual-dining brand, Tuk Cho.
According to Caterer and Hotelkeeper, the new site will be in Chiswick, west London, in a converted All Bar One. A spokeswoman for M&B said the company would start the conversion in mid-July, with the aim of re-opening the site near the end of September.
The move follows on from the opening of the first Tuk Cho site in Ealing Broadway, and the group said it was on the lookout for more sites for the concept.
M&B decided to open its own Asian casual-dining chain having made an aborted attempt to buy Tampopo. Tampopo recently opened its own venture in London under the East Street brand, and has also closed its Leeds Tampopo site following poor trading.
