The FINANCIAL — The EU is to finance an additional 14.4 km of roads in Moldova following the signature of a grant agreement on May 4, according to EU Neighbourhood Info Centre.
The new EU grant support of €15 million completes the recent EBRD and EIB loans dedicated to Road Rehabilitation in Moldova. The EBRD will be managing the programme.
Speaking at the signing, Head of EU Delegation to Moldova Ambassador Pirkka Tapiola said: “The European Union continues to support the rehabilitation of Moldovan Road network which has brought visible changes to the Moldovan territory these last years. This work is bringing more opportunity for social mobility and trade.”
