The FINANCIAL — The “IQ Energy” energy efficiency programme has helped more than 12,000 Ukrainians to make their homes more energy efficient.
The programme, which was launched in spring 2016, is being implemented in Ukraine by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, with financial support from the EU and other international donors. As of November 2017, it has offered more than €10,000,000 worth of energy efficiency loans via partner banks in Ukraine.
The IQ Energy project website contains a list of more than 4,900 energy efficiency products which will help Ukrainians to save energy and money for heating. 35% of the costs of the energy efficiency equipment procured using IQ Energy loans are reimbursed, according to EU Neighbours East Info.
The IQ Energy programme, developed and implemented by EBRD, is financed within the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership (E5P) regional programme with financial contributions from the EU, Sweden and Austria. The aim of the programme is to increase the energy efficiency of the Ukrainian residential sector.
