The FINANCIAL — MotorsportNetwork.com and Autoblog (AOL) on December 1 announced a strategic partnership that will see digital content produced by each company shared across each other’s platforms.
Under the partnership, Motorsport.com, a technologically advanced international network of online auto racing content will supply worldwide motorsport news and photos to Autoblog.com. Autoblog.com will distribute its industry-renowned automotive news, reviews and award-winning videos into Motor1.com, according to AOL.
“Some of the most popular videos and content we produce at Autoblog involve motorsports and racing. This partnership with the MotorsportNetwork.com will allow Autoblog to enhance our existing coverage in this space by tapping into their global network of journalists and content creators. At the same time, Autoblog will grow its influence and reach among enthusiasts by syndicating our content onto Motor1.com,” said Chris Eschenburg, Vice President and General Manager of Autoblog.
“Today is another important step in the global expansion of the MotorsportNetwork.com and all of our digital properties,” said Charles Bradley, editor in chief, Motorsport.com. “We were very diligent in our search in choosing the right partner and believe that we have aligned with one of the best in the world in AOL’s Autoblog. Using our expertise in motorsports to enhance Autoblog.com, we also get the benefit of their quality content to ensure the growth of Motor1.com in return.”
Leveraging Motorsport.com’s worldwide footprint, including 15 editions in 11 native languages, the two companies will collaborate to deliver digital media offerings exclusively for customers. The content will be designed to both meet and anticipate consumers’ rapidly evolving needs in the desktop, tablet and mobile applications spaces.
GCA Savvian Advisors, under the direction of John F. Lambos, Managing Director, acted as financial advisor to Motorsport.com.
“This unique content partnership agreement between these two industry-leading companies symbolizes the importance of a focused effort on continually adding value to engage audience on all platforms,” said Lambos. “This partnership between Motorsport.com and Autoblog.com brings together two market leading brands while showcasing each of their innovative technologies and editorial strengths worldwide.”
