The FINANCIAL — In April 2016, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 94.8 million USD (214.7 million GEL), which is 4.0 percent (3.7 million USD) more than the amount in April 2015.
90.3 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 12 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in April 2016. In April 2015 the share of these 12 countries constituted 91.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers, according to NBG.
In April 2016, 16.3 million USD (or 37.0 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 14.5 million USD (or 32.8 million GEL) in April 2015.
