The FINANCIAL– To help support its working mothers in line with the World Breastfeeding Week 2015 theme ‘Breastfeeding and work – make it work!’, Nestlé has launched campaigns across the world.
Building on Nestlé’s support for exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of a child’s life, a social media campaign in India – titled ‘Breastfeeding isn’t just a mother’s responsibility’ – calls on family members and colleagues to pledge to do simple tasks that will give mothers more time to exclusively breastfeed during this period, according to Nestle.
Nestlé also actively encourages breastfeeding by employees at its own facilities. At the end of 2014 Nestlé had crèches or breastfeeding rooms at 192 sites around the world.
