The FINANCIAL — Lemonade factory – Georgian Lemonade has been opened in Natakhtari village, Mtskheta through the support of the State Program – Produce in Georgia. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia viewed the new enterprise.
Ketevan Bochorishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Giorgi Tsikolia, Director at LEPL Entrepreneurship Development Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Nugzar Kipiani, State Representative – Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti also visited the place, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
According to the information provided by the Entrepreneurship Development Agency, the Georgian Lemonade company has been established by the Georgian businessmen acting abroad through the support of the State Program – Produce in Georgia. About 10 million GEL has already invested. Currently 150 people are employed at the factory that will start full operating from July.
“Today new enterprise has been opened that uses the local raw material. The majority of employees are internally displaced people (IDPs) who live in the nearby territory. Almost 10 million GEL has already been invested in the enterprise and the company still plans to expand. The new enterprise is mainly oriented on local market and export at the same time” – Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
According to the information provided by the company representatives, the company will offer its customers lemonades made from only Georgian fruit using unique technologies. The enterprise is equipped with modern, European standard technologies and laboratory. Khiliani lemonade is mainly aimed at Georgian market. However, according to the representatives of the company, innovative enterprise and uniqueness of the products makes the fast development of export possible.
