The FINANCIAL — According to Civil Georgia, Philip H. Gordon, a new U.S. assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, will visit Georgia this week as part of his trip to the South Caucasus states, according to the U.S. embassy.
Gordon, who took the post in mid-May, will arrive late on June 9 and will hold meetings in Tbilisi on June 10.
“Actually, there is no sphere which we will not discuss, including the bilateral relations, Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration, the situation in conflict zones, Georgian-Russian relations or absence of these relations and how to turn the charter between Georgia and the United States from a list of principles into a specific action plan,” Vashadze said on June 8.
