The FINANCIAL — NIB and the Swedish property developer Skanska AB have signed a loan agreement of USD 100 million (EUR 89 million) for the construction of five LEED Platinum certified office buildings in Warsaw and Wrocław, Poland.
The seven-year loan has been provided for the development and construction of five office properties that are to be certified as Platinum, the highest level under the LEED standard for environmental building.
The construction of the five LEED-certified premises in Poland will support Skanska’s strategy to maintain its position as a global leader in energy-efficient construction, according to NIB.
“The projects will promote sustainable building practice in premium locations in Poland and in this way contribute to a reduction in overall energy consumption”, says Henrik Normann, NIB President & CEO.
Skanska AB is one of the world-leading construction and project development groups, focused on commercial properties, residential and infrastructure projects in the Nordics, Europe and North-America. The company employs around 41,000 people and is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm.
