The FINANCIAL — In the U.S., Nissan Group announced total U.S. sales for January 2017 of 112,319 units, an increase of 6 percent over the prior year and a January record.
Nissan Division finished January with 100,761 sales, up 4 percent and also a January record. Overall sales of Nissan crossovers, trucks and SUVs set a January record, up 22 percent. INFINITI reported sales of 11,558 vehicles in the U.S. during January, an increase of 36 percent, an all-time record January for the brand.
In Canada, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales for January 2017 of 8,311 units. The Nissan Division sold 7,610 units, marking a new January sales record. Today, INFINITI reported January sales of 701 vehicles in Canada. The INFINITI QX80 full-size performance luxury SUV set a January sales record with 104 units sold, an increase of 10.6 per cent over last January, marking its best month ever, according to Nissan.
In India, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. reported 4,346 units domestic sales in January 2017 against 2,668 units sold the same month a year ago. Nissan and Datsun together recorded 63 percent year-on-year growth owing to the positive response of customers of Datsun redi-GO and a strong start for the newly launched Nissan Sunny 2017.
