The FINANCIAL — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. on January 30 announced production, sales and export figures for December 2017 and calendar year 2017.
“2017 was our best-ever year for global sales and production,” said Executive Vice President Daniele Schillaci, global head of marketing and sales. “The Rogue series set an annual sales record in the U.S. In China, we also delivered a record year of sales, bolstered by demand for both the Nissan and Venucia brands. We launched the new Nissan LEAF in October. Nissan will build on this momentum to bring Nissan Intelligent Mobility experiences to more customers globally.”

Production outside Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the sixth consecutive month, setting a record for the month of December. Production in China surpassed year-earlier results, setting a record for the single month, according to Nissan.

Nissan’s global production in 2017 surpassed year-earlier results for the eighth consecutive year, setting a calendar-year record.
Production in Japan surpassed year-earlier results for the second consecutive year.
