The international theater festival named after Nodar Dumbadze was festively completed in Guria. The festival hosted guests in the Ozurgeti drama theater for ten days, the actors performed about thirty exceptional plays on the stage.
The winner of the festival in nomination for the best performance is the Telavi city, drama Theater, for the play Katsia Adamiani?!, directed by Levan Tsuladze.
At the closing ceremony, the general sponsor of the project Smart Capital Group, and Georgian Chant Foundation awarded the winner theater with the symbolic prize and for the first time, this year established a monetary reward of 10,000 GEL.
Founders of the group and foundation Vano Chkhartishvili and Nana Gotua, have been initiators and loyal supporters of art and cultural events for many years.
This year, Georgia with other 8 foreign countries performed 17 plays.
The event was festively opened on July 5th with Robert Sturua’s performance.
To increase the scale of the festival in 2018, the organizers have decided to add modern and classical works of Georgian writers to the works of Nodar Dumbadze.
This year’s festival was special and outstanding, not only with a diverse program but also with guests.
This year, during the festival the public saw 26 performances in three different spaces of the Ozurgeti drama theater.
